About This Service
Insurance fraud investigation is the lawful, structured examination of a claim where what the claimant has told the carrier does not line up with the available evidence. Exero Claims handles these cases for insurance carriers, reinsurers, TPAs, and defence counsel working first-party and third-party claims under Czech insurance law (Act No. 277/2009 Sb.) and the Civil Code (No. 89/2012 Sb.).
Our caseload covers bodily injury exaggeration, malingering, staged motor accidents, fictitious theft and property loss, business interruption inflation, arson for profit, identity fraud on insurance applications, and organised fraud ring activity. What they have in common is the need for evidence that is gathered lawfully, recorded with care, and delivered in a form that adjusters, underwriters, and counsel can act on right away.
The Czech insurance market loses an estimated CZK 4 to 6 billion a year to fraudulent and inflated claims, with motor third-party liability, accident, and disability lines taking the largest share. Intake and Red-Flag Triage
We review the claim file against a structured red-flag matrix covering notification timing, prior claims history, treatment-provider patterns, and policy conditions. The triage determines whether an investigation is warranted and what scope is proportionate.

OSINT Baseline
Open-source intelligence work on the claimant, connected household members, and associated entities. We work through social media, public records, commercial databases, and court registers to build a factual baseline.

Covert Surveillance
Two- or three-operative mobile field teams document claimant activity using time-stamped 4K video and stills, GPS-logged observation points, and written observation logs. Surveillance is conducted in public spaces only, consistent with GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and Czech Civil Code §81-90.

Scene reconstruction, vehicle damage cross-checks, discreet witness interviews, and expert medical timeline review where the case requires it.

Evidence Handling and Reporting
Every exhibit enters a documented chain of custody from capture. Raw media is cryptographically hashed and archived. The final report includes an executive summary, full timeline, exhibit index, and analyst commentary.
